Technology Thoughts

I'm really surprised at how computer illiterate I really am in comparision to where most college students are (or, even where my fifteen year old is) in the scheme of things. I completed my undergraduate ten years ago. I thought I could navigate fairly well. This class has shown me that I need to, not only learn more, but I need to continue using different technological tools so that I stay on target for making the most impact on the students I will teach. There are so many programs, software, and web tools to use that could really enhance lessons. I wish we had been allotted a little more time to be able to spend exploring those things. I feel that I have gained more confidence with computers and more knowledge. However, I realize I have a lot more to learn. I feel that the linear and non-linear powerpoints have some interesting possibilities to use in the classroom. Also, it has been awesome to get some websites that have already proven their value. I would like to have used an entire module for technology.
